Rosario Strano

Hi, my name is Rosario, I am Judy’s husband. My wife was diagnosed with a Neurodegenerative disease in 2013.

As a Care Partner to my wife, I acquired different perspectives on the value of time hence the realization of approaches that would be more determining in the quality of life, in nurturing her health. Many times, over the years, I wish I could have stilled time, for the amazing moments we shared were of priceless value. Within the definition of “our normal”, I experienced the gift of life, a magnificent wonder, through a flurry of emotions, and connected me to my Judy in ways I would not be able to describe in words.

We want to protect what is valuable and more so, irreplaceable. I have asked myself a countless number of times, what can I do to address this important topic with everyone? Being part of the Judy Loker Initiative is purposeful for me, on a personal level and for what concerns public health. I profoundly believe that more needs and can be done to raise awareness of the importance of education in the field of Neurodegeneration starting at a very young age, the significance of neuronal health, and the forefront and absolute importance of their existence in the precious gift of life, for all of us.

At JLI we are dedicated to building resilient minds and fostering conscious defenses in today’s youth. In a world filled with diverse challenges, we believe in the transformative power of education, awareness, and community engagement. I believe the path forward is to create innovative programs and services that equip the younger generation with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of life with strength, empathy, and resilience.
